- Well, I AM a neuroscientist and medical device expert and directed (or tried as best I could) my last 3 brain surgeries. My biggest obstacle is dealing with the "disinformation" that my physicians receive from the corporate folk who stand to gain from my loss!

- We're not too far off in the future before we will have open dialogue on when and how we as a nation will have to shape policy on end of life. I mean, fifty years ago we would never have thought of using high tech medical procedures to sustain the life of a person 70, 80, or 90 years of age.

- I would not give his mis-steps in injecting himself into the Gates incident, but it was his first visible screw up. I mean, after he chided the police dept involved, he went on to lecture us about racial profiling.
